Rocksmith 2014 PC NoCable Patch: Is It Worth the Trouble?

Are you considering using a no-cable patch for your Rocksmith 2014 game on PC? If so, this article is for you. As someone who has tried both the no-cable patch and the RealTone Cable (RTC), I'd like to share my experience with you.

In my opinion, the no-cable patch is a waste of time and resources. The patch runs decently only on one out of four PCs that I've tested, and it took some time for me to figure out how to set it up properly. On top of that, I experienced huge problems with guitar buzzing and latency right away.

But what about the cost? Isn't it more expensive to buy an RTC than to use a no-cable patch? Not necessarily. While the upfront cost of an RTC may seem higher, think about all the time and nerves you'll save in the long run. With an RTC, you won't have to worry about setting up cables or modifying your game files at runtime.

So, is it worth saving some money and using a no-cable patch? In my opinion, the answer is no. The moral of the story is: don't try to save up money using non-authentic cables or third-party patches. Instead, invest in an RTC for the best gaming experience.
